Proofreaders/Copyeditors

LONG-TERM PART-TIME FREELANCE, REMOTE

We are seeking talented Proofreaders/Copyeditors experienced in one or more of our content areas: Healthcare, Education, Technology, or Finance. (Please note that we currently have a full team of Proofreaders and Copyeditors. If you would still like to follow up with this posting, we will record your information for future reference.)

This is a good fit particularly for Freelancers looking to expand their current weekly workload by 5 to 20 hours (flexible week to week and factored around your schedule). Some availability 5 to 10 hours per week between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. ET is ideal.

Must have:

  • 3+ years’ copyediting experience in one or more of these areas: Healthcare, Education, Technology, or Finance

  • 4+ years’ professional proofreading experience for published content

  • Commitment to follow through on agreed-upon deadlines

  • Timely responsiveness to work emails

  • Ability to edit in MS Word, Adobe PDF, and PPT

Brief work description:

  • Proofread and copyedit consulting reports, corporate communications, marketing collateral, websites, and other content.

  • Follow Chicago Manual of Style, Associated Press, AMA, APA, and/or client style guides. Access to the appropriate style guidance is provided.
